About Your Host...
Simon Howard gained an apprenticeship in traditional Stained Glass from his father and brother whilst growing up in Lancashire. His father had worked in the glass industry since the 1960s, and his brother is a Stained Glass artist, now living in Melbourne, Australia. Simon gained a degree in Fine Art from The Byam Shaw School in London in 1992, and after over 35 years of experience, has developed a unique style that blends traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design. His remarkable work has frequently appeared on TV and in publications including Wales' Home of the Year and Country Living Magazine. Currently based in the vibrant market town of Llandeilo, west Wales, he handles a variety of commissions, from the ecclesiastical and corporate to the private and residential, ensuring each piece is tailored to its environment and made from high-quality materials. Simon is dedicated to making stained glass art more accessible through his teaching. Since 2018, he has been offering courses to share his expertise, gaining recognition on television programs such as Kirstie's Handmade Christmas and Charlotte Church's Dream Build.
